These tours are available during the harvest and packing season (Subject to approval by the Orchard)
The fee for our standard tour is $140.00 for a two hour tour Includes a town tour plus $2.20 pp entry to the packing sheds (Driver and any Coach host FOC) - the first hour is the standard town tour and the second hour will include a guided visit to the Nightingale Orchard and packing sheds
THE TWO HOUR TOUR
The first hour of this tour is a commentary on the bus by our local history guide who will
speak to your tour group as your bus takes in the sights and scenery of
the Historical Goldfields towns of Bright and Wandiligong. We can also
theme the tour to suit your groups needs (IE:- Aboriginal History - Flora interpretation etc) The second hour includes commentary on the agriculture and orchard history of the Wandilligong valley and culminates in a guided tour of the Nightingale Orchards and Packing sheds - an opportunity to puchase fresh apples etc will be available at the sheds.
A ONE HOUR OPTION -If you only have the time for a one hour tour this can also be arranged - see below for price.
OUR GUIDE
The
guide will point out locations and sites of interest and will provide a
commentary regarding the history of the district past and present as we
drive through the picturesque scenery.
PRICES
The two hour options costs - $140.00 for the guide plus $2.50 for each passenger (The pp Charge is the fee for Access to the apple packing sheds)
A one hour
tour costs - $95.00 for the guide plus $2.50 for each passenger (The pp Charge is the fee for Access to the apple packing sheds)
MEETING POINT
We will meet your bus at the Bus Parking area near the Ovens River just
behind the Tourist Information Centre (off Gavin St Bright). This location
(Near the sound shell) has toilets and an undercover picnic area with
tables.
