GOLD PANNING 2 Hours 1.30 PM to 3.30 PM
Meet us at the historical Bright Gold Crushing battery where we will pan for
Gold (You can keep what you find) and hear about the challenges and
triumphs of the early gold miner's and pioneers.
The Site
Morse's Creek is the site of one of the areas many alluvial gold rushes and the battery was constructed by the Government to provide crushing facilities for small miners and prospectors working the rich quartz reefs in the hills.
The Tour
We commence our tour by viewing and discussing the Historical Gold battery (Crusher) then we walk a short distance to the panning site at Morse's creek at the back of the gold battery. You will learn
about using the gold pan while hearing of the history of the Valley

Meet at the Bright Gold Battery on the Wandiligong road at the advertised time
You Need
Your own vehicle (The site is about 3 Km from Bright) some water
and comfortable walking shoes or boots. (You will get wet feet so a
change of footwear is recommended)
Bring any personal Medication (Asthma Etc)
Specimen Bottle
You will be given a small specimen bottle to put your gold findings in
